One of the possible ways for a small community to help support itself and do
a useful service for others is to raise fish. Fish are an
excellent source of protein. They are a healthy alternative to beef and pork.
They do not over-use land, nor do they require a great deal of space. The
"fish farm" may be in a natural or man-made lake, or in a totally indoor environment.
It may be part of a total design for management of the site as a whole.
Water from the fish farm may be part of a water purification system, or it may be
part of organic regeneration of the land proper. Indoor aquaculture can be
handled by a few people, working on a regular basis.
